Braque: Man with Guitar, 1911

Analyticla cubism- this is where an artist will break up objects
and rearranges them in their own abstract way to give it a depth
that normally would not be attained by a more conventional way.
It is giving the viewer a new way to look at something and reevaluate it.

Juan Gris: Man with Guitar, 1919

Synthetic Cubism- This is when artist decided to recover some
of the reality that was lost in the analytical period. So they decided
to make texture a part of the the real-life objects, they actually pasted
on to the surface of their paintings. The colors in this time period are
much brighter, and contrasting than in the analytical period.
